Men's Retreat Attendees!
Registration for the Men’s Retreat has already reached max capacity! The schedule for the weekend has been intentionally designed with plenty of space for relaxation, exploring the area, activities, and simply connecting with one another, because building deeper relationships as men is one of the primary purposes of this retreat.
During our times together in God’s Word, we’ll walk through 1 Samuel 9–31, focusing on the life of David and the kind of heart God desires to develop in each of us. Our theme, HEARTBEAT, comes from 1 Samuel 16:7: “For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.” Our prayer is that this weekend will give us an opportunity to step away from our normal routines, strengthen our relationships with one another, and allow God to examine and shape our hearts.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Every attendee will have his own bed, although most bedrooms have more than one bed and will be shared with other men. Here is a link to the house we will be staying in if you would like to check it out prior to the retreat or get driving directions if you plan to drive your own vehicle. https://www.airbnb.com/trips/v1/cotraveler_invitation/fd57d3e1-5fcf-42ea-9be3-d8587576e941
MEALS
Breakfast will be provided during the retreat (bacon, eggs, waffles, continental breakfast items). Please bring money for three additional meals, which we will have together at local restaurants. You’re also welcome to bring any additional snacks, drinks, or food items you prefer for the weekend.
TRANSPORTATION & ARRIVAL
We will provide transportation in a 15-passenger van leaving Faith Church at 6:00 PM on Friday. Please let us know if you plan to ride in this vehicle so we can make the proper arrangements.
If you would prefer to drive your personal vehicle, please let me know, and we'll reimburse you for the milage if you are able to take other retreat attendees in your vehicle.
If your schedule allows, and you would like to arrive earlier on Friday, you are welcome to do so at any time. Likewise, if you need to leave the retreat early because of your schedule, that is completely fine.
